Verruca Treatment

On a first visit when presenting with verrucas, we will begin treatment in that visit. Warts on the hands or both hands and feet will be treated. Some treatment options for this virus may not be appropriate in your case — medical conditions or medications such as blood thinners can limit options.

If treatment is possible, it can begin at your first visit. Further costs (depending on treatment) can be confirmed by the Podiatrist, as verruca treatment is ongoing and typically requires several sessions.

What Is a Verruca?

A verruca (plantar wart) is a viral skin infection caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). They most commonly appear on the soles of the feet and can be painful when weight is applied — particularly if they develop over pressure points. They often have a roughened surface with small black dots (blood vessels).

Verrucas can be stubborn and difficult to treat at home. Some may resolve on their own, but many persist for months or even years without professional intervention.

Treatment Options

• ✔Specialist acid treatments for stubborn or deeply-embedded verrucas
• ✔Combination approaches for resistant or larger verrucas
